Dear Ms Laila,

I have been asked to seek clarification on your question 4e.

Could you please confirm whether this question refers to grievance complaints involving consultants or all staff groups? Could you also confirm whether this is for the same five year period?

Many thanks,

Dear Freedomofinformation (EPSOM AND ST HELIER UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS NHS TRUST),

Thank you for providing information about some of the questions. It is noted that a significant number of questions have not been answered or clarified appropriately.

Question 1;
It is also noted that out of 322 Consultants, 123 are female (i.e. 38.2%).
You report that 69.2% of all consultants who left your trust are female ((due to reasons other than retiring).

So, out of 123 female consultants, 34 have left the trust .
Do you consider this as rather unusual statistics? Why have so many female consultants have left your trust?

Question 5;
Thank you for the information about your current medical directors. It is noted that there are 2 joint medical directors and they have been in this post since 2011 and 2013, i.e. for 8 and 6 years. Is this usual for your trust?
Are they in current post as above on an indefinite basis or on a specific contract for a fixed period? If so, what is the length of such contract?

I would be grateful if you could review the answers given to questions 2, 3 and 4 also and provide further information.
In particular, what is the time period for a grievance investigation according to your grievance policy?
Please clarify if this is classed as the period from start to completion of the grievance process, i.e. from the time a grievance is submitted to the time a conclusion is drawn.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Laila
