Dear South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,
I would like to request the following information
- Could you please outline the number of resignations that have occurred over the period from 1st January 2021 to present date.
- Please include all staff grades/positions and where possible provide a reason for the resignation if known e.g. moving to a different position, retiring, resigning, etc.
- In particular I would like you to provide the numbers of staff that have left the Emergency Operations Centres (EOC) in this period. This means to outline both the staff that have left the EOC to mean leaving the service completely, or moving to a different role.

Dear South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Staff resignations'.
Please review this decision, as I believe the exemption has been applied wrongly. Note that I am not requesting personal information.
Could you outline how you feel that providing the number of people who have resigned or left a particular role would be providing personal identity information?. I did not ask for personally identifiable information in my request, and the disclosure of statistics does not require personally identifiable information.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...
Yours faithfully,
Tim

Dear Tim,

Dear Tim,
Thank you for your request for an internal review.
I have conducted a review of your request.
Following your initial request, you required data on the following:-
- Could you please outline the number of resignations that have occurred
over the period from 1st January 2021 to present date.
- Please include all staff grades/positions and where possible provide a
reason for the resignation if known e.g. moving to a different position,
retiring, resigning, etc.
- In particular I would like you to provide the numbers of staff that have
left the Emergency Operations Centres (EOC) in this period. This means to
outline both the staff that have left the EOC to mean leaving the service
completely, or moving to a different role.
- Please also outline how many staff have left the service for health
reasons.
Although your request in itself is not deemed as 'Personal Data' the
statistics that we were presented with were low numbers in places, meaning
that this could be deemed personal data indirectly, therefore we had to
limit what was shared due to this reason.
This is why we deem this as 'Personal Data' in this instance as some of
the data sets are linked to one individual and this would potentially
identify them directly or indirectly from this disclosure.
Therefore we are upholding our decision in this instance as we have a duty
to protect the confidentiality of our staff.
If you are not fully satisfied with this outcome you can raise this with
the ICO.
Kind regards
IG Team
