Thank you for your information request dated the 29th of March regarding
staff pay at Heriot-Watt University. Your request has been handled under
the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).  

You asked for a list of all the pay bands which apply to university staff.

This information is therefore exempt from release under Section 25 of
FOSA: Information otherwise accessible. 

You also asked for the current median pay of staff. This figure for all UK
staff is spine point 31 which is £40,522 per year. 

Finally, you requested the remuneration of the senior leadership
team/highest paid staff. Please see page 57 under the heading
“RENUMERATION OF HIGHER PAID STAFF, EXCLUDING PENSION CONTRIBUTIONS” of
