Please provide a list of all the stations where the TfL staff Oyster can be used to open the ticket gates.

Where the pass only opens certain gates within the station (ie at Euston NR for London Overground or Paddington for TfL Rail), please advise which platforms the gates that can be opened by the staff Oyster correspond to.

Finally, are there any non-TfL bus services on which a TfL staff Oyster can be used for free travel?

Thank you for your request received by us on 20 December 2021 asking for
information about TfL staff pass validity.

 

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can
confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked for:

 

a list of all the stations where the TfL staff Oyster can be used to open
the ticket gates.

 

Where the pass only opens certain gates within the station (ie at Euston
NR for London Overground or Paddington for TfL Rail), please advise which
platforms the gates that can be opened by the staff Oyster correspond to.

 

We can advise that a TfL Staff Oyster card opens the gates at:

 

o All London Underground (including north of Queen’s Park) and Docklands
Light Railway (DLR) gated stations

 

o All London Overground stations

 

o All TfL Rail stations between West Drayton and Shenfield

 

o Platforms 12-15 at Liverpool Street’s National Rail Station

 

Additionally, please see the attached list of stations, as captured by our
database system. Whilst in some instances station names are abbreviated in
part, Tube and Rail maps can be viewed here for full visibility:

In regards to providing individual gate numbers at various interchanges
where applicable, we do not hold this information in the requested format.
 We are unable to provide such data without manually reviewing various
documentation and extracting the necessary detail, as well as needing to
rely upon local knowledge to fulfil this part of your request. In
accordance with the Act, we do not have to answer your question if it
would require the creation of new information or the provision of a
judgement, explanation, advice or opinion that was not already recorded at
the time of your request.

 

Finally, are there any non-TfL bus services on which a TfL staff Oyster
can be used for free travel?

 

Free travel is valid on all London bus services displaying the red or
white roundel on the front and any other bus service where TfL fares
apply; except for any special services.
