Staff numbers, seizures and correspondence

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Freedom of Information Officer,

I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act:

1) (a) For the financial year 2018-19, the number of people employed to work for the Dover Port Health Authority (eg. those employed by the council to work specifically for the port health authority)
(b) The same for financial year 2019-20
(c) The same for financial year 2020-21
(d) The same for financial year 2021-22
(e) The same for financial year 2022-23 (if possible a count up to the date of this request)

2) (a) For the financial year 2018-19, the budget available for the port health authority for staffing.
(b) The same for financial year 2019-20
(c) The same for financial year 2020-21
(d) The same for financial year 2021-22
(e) The same for financial year 2022-23 (if possible a count up to the date of this request)

3) A copy of all emails sent or received by the Head of the port authority between 1 January 2020 and today's date that include the phrase “extra staffing”.

4) A copy of all emails sent or received by the Head of the port authority between 1 January 2020 and today's date that include the phrase “biosecurity”.

5) A copy of raw data records from your database/logging system that detail each seizure and surrender between 1 January 2020 and today's date at facilities where the port health authority is the statutory body for health controls. I do not wish to obtain records that identify suspects or staff, or hold details senstive to any criminal investigation, so these records can be redacted or fields not included via exemption. However, I am requesting an export of raw records for each seizure or surrender including but not limited to the facility, the date, the time, the item seized, any description in relation to the seizure and item, and any action taken, along with other details recorded.

Please note that under ICO guidance redactions should not be incluced in any s12 costs estimates. Please let me know if you require any further information.

Yours faithfully,

Guy Basnett
