Dear Royal College of Psychiatrists,

I have read your link:

http://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/pdf/SIG%20Websi...

and that Dr Rupert Sheldrake's seminar/lecture was "The Extended Mind: Recent Experimental Evidence".

Would it be possible to upload this onto WhatDoTheyKnow or, in the alternative, explain what was found by the Royal College of Pscyhiatrists as I would like to know what role telepathy is now deemed to play in normal life.

What is the official stance of the Royal College of Psychiatrists regarding telepathy?

Patients are often diagnosed as being ill and that the proof of their illness is that they are delusional, and that telepathy is the proof of their delusional state.

Thus it seems essential to know what is the official standpoint of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Does the Royal College of Psychiatrists have scientific literature on all aspects of telepathy? If so, may I ask for a series of links that are available on the internet so that I may find them. Thank you very much.

What is the "materialist" view of telepathy?

What is the "positivist" view of telepathy?

What is the "emotional" view of telepathy?

Is all telepathy automatically delusional?

Which telepathy is delusional?

Is schizophrenia a controversial diagnosis where "delusions" of telepathy, act of jargon, act of reference, are diagnostic criteria for determining a person to be schizophrenia, if such diagnoses might have rational explanations which are not psychiatric?

How many authors have been diagnosed as delusional but have been successful in presenting alternative viewpoints that are not mainstream thought processes?

Does the Royal College of Psychiatrists accept it is possible that some people are not schizophrenic at all but in the alternative are artistic/ deep-thinking/ soul-searching/ creative/ different from other people in their ways of thinking but not delusional?

I am concerned that people might be "medicated" / "treated" against their will to rid them of their "delusions" which they actually like, such as their "voices".

I would like to know if the Royal College of Psychiatrists has developed any policies on this issue at all, and, if so, what? Do you have any policies / strategies / viewpoints / published literature you can upload - or provide internet links - on this charity website http://www.whatdotheyknow.com ?

From the scientific literature I have read, not everyone who is diagnosed with a mental health disorder is actually suffering but rather it is other people who have determined that these people are suffering. Is this borne out by what is known by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and could you please provide links to what your research has found to be the case.

Thank you very much for your help

Yours sincerely,

Well Done Rosemary. My friends and I are watching this request with interest. A Psychiatrist has already decided that someone who had just won a Solicitor, 3-Barristers and 3-Judges in five months of Court hearings, whilst representing themselves AND a Vulnerable person, must require a mental health act assessment, due to them being a Clairvoyant. The Psychiatrist LOST. In addition the Psychiatrist had a conflict of interest due to his OWN Religious Beliefs.

Dear Royal College of Psychiatrists,

I am now asking what the Royal College of Psychiatrists know of this as clearly this is now public property being stated openly on this website.

I have no inkling of what this is about but do wish to know what this is all about.

Thank you very much,

Yours sincerely,

An AMHP placed on his records that the reason for sectioning a person, for the First Time into a Mental Hospital was because she had an old note book with "Christian Religious Notations". The woman was released after five weeks, due to her expensive property being left to five charities. They never bothered her again and the AMHP has since answered in a letter to her, that he NOW does not consider religious writings to be a reason to section people. Yet it is in his notes as a reason for the section.

Dear Royal College of Psychiatrists,

I am writing with a further follow-up to my FOI Request because Yvonne Pears has left a public annotation to my FOI Request on the publicly viewable and public interface website of http://www.whatdotheyknow.com the following message:

Based on this message, I wish to ask the Royal College of Psychiatrists by whose authority ANY AMHP operates:

1] Is it at the behest of a psychiatrist?

2] Is it at the recommendation of a psychiatrist?

3] Is it at the recommendation of an S12 doctor - and if so, what PRECISE psychiatric qualifications MUST an S12 doctor possess? I ask this because you are the regulatory authority of registering and monitoring the qualifications and fitness to practise of all psychiatrists.

If you are NOT the regulator of S12 doctors, I wish to know WHY NOT? And if you are the regulator of S12 doctors where is your list of S12 doctors publicly accessible to public view and scrutiny along with their full set of qualifications for all to check?

Otherwise how can people KNOW with certainty that the person making such a recommendation is actually QUALIFIED to make such an assessment?

4] Does an AHMP have MEDICAL QUALIFICATIONS?
And, if so, what?

5] Does an AHMP have to have PSYCHIATRIC QUALIFICATIONS?
And, if so, what?

6] In the ABSENCE of the AHMP having to have DETAILED AND RECORDED QUALIFICATIONS OF PSYCHIATRY how can the AHMPs be properly monitored by the Royal College of Psychiatrists? And if you do not oversee such AHMPs cannot injustice be done?

We must overhaul our ENTIRE Mental Health legislation and scrap all Mental Health laws and start again. This time from the needs of the PATIENT rather than the needs and wants of people wishing to CONTROL other people whose lifestyle choices do not accord with their own.

We now life in a MULTICULTURAL SOCIETY and this is NOT reflected in the legislation of either the Mental Health Act 1983[2007] nor the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Sceptics of the current legislation are many and I am campaigning for the abolition of BOTH laws in their entirety.

Please pass this to the Board of Directors and Trustees of the Royal College of Physicians as I wish there to be a NATIONAL DEBATE AND MORATORIUM ON MENTAL HEALTH BEFORE THE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE BILL IS FINALISED.

THERE IS NOT A MOMENT TO LOSE.

PLEASE HELP US TO GET LIBERTY, TRUTH AND JUSTICE FOR EVERYONE - OUR HUMAN RIGHTS ARE AT STAKE

HABEAS CORPUS SHOULD REMAIN SUPREME AT ALL TIMES

THAT IS MY PETITION

Thank you so much,
