In how many instances broken down by year and local authority did this lead to a change in the Speed on the road on which the SpID was deployed or the introduction of speed reduction or traffic calming measures on a permanent basis?

Dear Mr. Mirfin,

Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000

Further to your request for information, made under the provisions of the above Act, please see below our response.

Request and Response:

Question 1;

SpID deployments by ourSpeed Management Team are as per the attached spreadsheet. (In addition SpIDs privately owned by other bodies such as Parish Councils are not recorded by LCC.

Question 2;

Lancashire County Council do not take speed measurements at SpID sites and they are not used to help select locations for traffic calming measures or speed limit changes. We do not have records of where changes have been made at sites where SpIDs have been deployed.

Whilst the Traffic Team is consulted on potential sites for the use of SPID's we do not have any information, records etc. regarding numbers, locations, effectiveness etc.

If you have any queries regarding any of the above, or you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the team quoting reference number 995.211 (AA4).

We trust that our response is to your satisfaction, and your request will now be closed as of this date.

Yours sincerely
