Spending "savings" on private ambulances
Dear East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust,
I have read how your Trust is on course to save £10million. However a recent request of mine shows that in just 8 months you spent nearly £7.5million on private and so called voluntary ambulances which works out at about £30,000 every day - a simply staggering amount.
To show how spending on private ambulances has been slashed since Dr Marsh took over and gave his commitment to do so can you list how much was spent for the first 8 months of 2013?
As always, just fact and figures are required. No added "spin".
Yours faithfully,
J Lowe

Dear East of England Ambulance Service
Can you confirm when you gave me the figures for the first 8 months of 2014 they included both private providers for Emergency Ambulances and Patient Transfer Service contracts?
If not can you explain what the figures related to?
Yours sincerely,
J Lowe
