Spending on Traveller Accommodation
Dear Department for Communities (Northern Ireland),
In March 2018, iThe Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission recommended that the
"The Department for Communities should ensure regular, independent, effective, thorough and proactive monitoring of public spending in relation to the provision of Travellers’ accommodation. Data relating to the provision of all Travellers’ accommodation and financial data should be consistent, centralised, and effectively disaggregated.
Data should be publicly available."
Out of Site, Out of Mind: Travellers' Accommodation in Northern Ireland.
Please can you advise the annual budgeted and actual spending on new Traveller Accommodation from April 2018 until present.
Please can you advise the annual budgeted and actual spending on upgrading and maintaining existing Traveller Accommodation from April 2018 to present.
Please can you break down the above figures by accommodation type - grouped housing, serviced site and transit / halting site.
Please can you advise on any income received from the sale of sites since 2015.
Please can you provide minutes of meetings which refer to the provision, sale or closure traveller accommodation in Northern Ireland from 2015 onwards.
Many thanks.
