Spending on PR/advertising/marketing communications relating to Active Travel

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Transport,

Please could you detail the total marketing spend over the last five years (or for as long as you have records for) for any PR/advertising/marketing activity relating to the subject of Active Travel.

For the avoidance of doubt, active travel is to mean "cycling and/or walking".

PR/advertising/marketing activity is to mean any activity that promotes the DfT's work in active travel, or aims to change behaviours or transport habits to active travel through marketing (this could be direct to the public or through third parties, such as stakeholders or promotional partners).

The figures should include any grants given to third party organisations to promote active travel on your behalf.

Please include external and internal costs, such as external agency support, internal staffing costs, printing, activations/events, advertising, etc.

Yours faithfully,

A Tranter
