Dear Freedom of Information,

Thank you for providing this information.

Having reviewed the data I have a couple of extra questions:

How is it that the majority of kits ordered are from outside the Lancashire region when the website is filtered to only allow requests from within Lancashire?

Are all of the test kit orders requested through the best2know service from areas other then Lancashire fulfilled?

If test kit orders from other areas are fulfilled how are the resulting completed screens attributed for CTAD reporting purposes?

Yours sincerely,

Ryan

Dear Freedom of Information,

Has there been any progress made regarding my FOI request?

Yours sincerely,

Mr R Barnes

Freedom of Information, Lancashire County Council

Dear Mr Barnes,

Further to your email, please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in responding to your questions.
I can confirm that Lancashire County Council are only responsible for the pan-Lancashire requests and Cumbria as their commissioners contribute to the B2K Lancs and Cumbria costs.
Please refer to the figures for Lancashire & Cumbria for quarter 1 below:

Preston 160
Lancaster 42
Blackburn 25
Blackpool 24
Leyland 23
Chorley 20
Skelmersdale 16
Carlisle 14
Burnley 9
Ormskirk 8
Darwen 4
Accrington 3
Fleetwood 3
Kendal 1
Morecambe 1
Nelson 1

The requests are sent, via the website to the various providers who process the kits, notify results whether negative or positive, treatment and partner notification if the latter and report negative and positive results to CTAD.

We have clarified with the provider that requests from non-Lancashire residents received a message to contact their local sexual health service for a test as the service was only for Lancashire residents. It does clearly state this on the website, however, the 'back end' of the web site does record also the number of requests from residents outside Lancashire, which is why details from residents in other areas were recorded.

I trust that this information is helpful, however should you have any further queries please contact me.

Yours sincerely
