Speeding offences in Worcestershire
Dear West Mercia Police,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like the request the following information:
The number of people caught speeding in the county of Worcestershire, over the past six financial years (i.e. 2010-11 to 2015-16 inclusive).
For each of these offenses, I would like to know the location of the camera and a financial yearly breakdown of the number of people caught speeding.
I would also like to know the enforcement action taken for those convicted of speeding offenses in those financial years, in Worcestershire.
I also wish to know the five fastest speeding offenses recorded and the speed limit at the site it was recorded, in Worcestershire, in those financial years.

I write in connection with your request for information dated 10th
December 2016 which was received on 12th December 2016.
Your request will now be considered in accordance with the Freedom of

Records are not held in a retrievable format prior to 2012/13 due to
system changes.
2. For each of these offenses, I would like to know the location of the

speeding.
REPLY: Please be advised that the location of all cameras are on the West
Mercia Safer Roads Partnership (SRP) website.
A yearly breakdown of site specific speeding offences is not available as
this data is not held in a retrievable format within SRP recording
systems.
3. I would also like to know the enforcement action taken for those
convicted of speeding offenses in those financial years, in
Worcestershire.
REPLY: Please be advised that this information is not held in a readily
retrievable format. It is not held in an electronically searchable format
within SRP recording systems, and it would require a manual review of
every case for those convicted of speeding offenses in those financial
years, in Worcestershire in order for us to identify the relevant
information for your request. Therefore the cost of providing you with the
information is above the amount to which we are legally required to
respond i.e. the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceeds
the ‘appropriate level’ as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and
Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, this letter acts
as a Refusal Notice for this part of the request and if one part of a
request exceeds the fees limit then S12 of the Act applies to the whole
request.
However, In accordance with Section 16 of the Act I have a duty to provide
advice and assistance in relation to your request and have provided the
other information that can be provided as this was retrieved during our
initial research. This should not be taken as a precedent that additional
information would be supplied outside of the time/fees legislation for any
subsequent requests
