Speeding

The request was successful.

Dear Police Service of Northern Ireland,

I am writing to you to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my request as specifically as possible.

Please provide details of vehicles travelling at the highest speed recorded by the PSNI in Co Derry in each of the past two years.

Indicate the speed recorded at the scene and the location of recording.

Please also indicate what action was taken by officers in each instance.

Please provide details of the ten highest speeds recorded in the county for each of the past two years and if costs allow, the twenty highest speeds.

Please also include any relevant documents (including internal correspondence) relating to decisions about having dogs put down.

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under your Section 16 obligations, as to how I can refine my request to be included in the scope of the Act.

In any case, if you can identify ways that my request could be refined please provide further advice and assistance to indicate this.

I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request. I look forward to your response within 20 working days, as stipulated by the Act.

Yours faithfully,

Mr McGuigan

letter. In the event that you require a review to be undertaken, you can
do so by writing to the Head of Freedom of Information, PSNI Headquarters,

Information Act, to the Information Commissioner’s Office and ask that
they investigate whether the PSNI has complied with the terms of the
Freedom of Information Act.  You can write to the Information Commissioner
