There is a camera warning sign on Bracondale, Norwich because that road
falls within an area in which cameras are used to enforce traffic
regulations. Unfortunately, we do not hold information regarding the
distance between the speed camera warning signs and speed cameras.

I am writing to confirm that Norfolk County Council has now completed its
search for the information you requested in your correspondence received

In which case, how do you know whether they are placed according to the
DfT guidelines or not, please?

 

Our response:

 

Reference the sign TSRGD 2002 sign 880.

 

The sign may only be placed in a 30 mph area with street lights and not
more than 1km from the site. This sign is subject to no regulations and is
not mandatory subject to directions 32 (2).
