Dear Cheshire Constabulary,
I believe there is certain criteria to allow siting of a camera van on a
stretch of road. Please could you confirm what this is?
There is a van positioned regularly just over the brow of a hump back
bridge in Christleton on the A41 and from local records, this stretch of
road is not a high accident black spot. The A41 is not the best of roads
and there are a number of accidents much further along towards Whitchurch
in the Broxton/Chowley Oak/Tattenhall area. But I cannot understand why
this van is placed here on a regular basis. On Thursday or Friday it was
even there at 5.30 - 6pm when night had fallen.
Please could you explain the justification for this location.
