Speed Camera Van - A19 ACPO Guidance

We're waiting for Paul Rowland to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear North Yorkshire Police,

On Tuesday 12/03/2019, you had a mobile camera unit on a single carriageway stretch of the A19 (approx N54.216903, W1.310495). Could you please provide the calibration information for the unit in question prior to the commencement of enforcement on that date.

Could you also confirm whether you operate following ACPO guidance and that a NIP for the offence of driving between 60-67mph is unlikely to be enforced (unless the driver appears to be reckless etc. )

Yours faithfully,

Paul.

Dear North Yorkshire Police,

This is a follow up message as your reply is long overdue. By law, you are obliged to reply within 20 days to which you have failed.

I therefore expect both a review as to why you have failed to oblige in the time allotted and also the reply to my original request.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Rowland

Dear Mr Rowland

Thank you for your request for an internal review.

I note from your comments that the review is in relation to the length of time it has taken to respond to your request and I can only apologise for the delay in your reply.

The Civil Disclosure Unit does strive to meet the 20 day deadline date; however I hope that you will appreciate that we have recently seen an increase in Freedom of Information requests, as well as an increase in the number of questions raised within each request and it is therefore not always possible to retrieve the data within the time limit allowed under the Act.

From reviewing your original request, I note that a response has now been sent to you and hopefully it will answer the questions you have raised.
Once again, please accept my apologies for the delay in you receiving your reply.

Kind Regards
