Dear Brian,

We believe the qualified exemption under section 43(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ("FOIA") may apply to some of the information you have requested. We require more time to consider the public interest in disclosure. We have therefore applied section 10(3)(b) of the FOIA and have extended the 20 working day time limit to an additional 10 working days. The attached letter provides further details.

Yours sincerely,

Freedom of Information,

Dear Brian,

On 24 May you were informed that we were treating your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“FOIA”) and that we held the requested information. You were also informed that the qualified exemption under section 43(2) of the FOIA was engaged and more time was required to consider the public interest in disclosure.

We are still not in a position to respond to your request. We require additional time to consider the public interest test. It is anticipated that it will take a further 10 working days to make our decision. We expect to respond by 24 May 2010. I apologise for the delay and any inconvenience it may cause.

Yours sincerely,
