The request was successful.

Dear British Army,

I would like to know what criteria are used to determine what rank someone entering service as a Specialist Reservist Officer should be assigned.

For example, some nurses that join and commission into Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps will be immediately assigned a rank of Lieutenant, and some as a Captain.

How is this decided, what criteria are used, and can I have a copy of the relevant policy please?

Yours faithfully,

Holly Farmer

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Could you please confirm receipt of my request dated 8th April 2024?

Yours faithfully,

Holly Farmer
