1) What percentage of children in your LA with EHCP receive EOTIS in line with s61? What percentage have a school named but their education provision is provided in full via s19 (including alternative provisions)? What percentage are electively home-educated?

request relating to Special school deregistration. As you know, the
council is required to respond to all requests for information under the
Freedom of Information Act within 20 working days, unless a ‘qualified
exception’ applies that requires the consideration of the Public Interest.

 

Walsall Council takes its obligations under this legislation extremely

Further to your request for information about Special school
deregistration, I can tell you the following: 

1)                  What percentage of children in your LA with EHCP
receive EOTIS in line with s61? 0.84%

What percentage have a school named but their education provision is
provided in full via s19 (including alternative provisions)? 60% 

2)                  In the last 12 months how many requests to deregister
a child from a special school have you received. – We do not currently
collect the data on how many requests we receive to deregister a child
from a special school. We only have data regarding the number of children
who have deregistered to go Electively Home Educated of which there are
none. 

 3) In the last 12 months how many children have been deregistered from a
special school to elective home education? 0 

4)(a)How long did the process take from the parental request to LA
confirming consent for deletion from roll? Not applicable

 

(b)Did the LA refuse consent on any occasion in the last 12 months? If yes
on what grounds Not applicable
