Special Educational Needs

Dear Service Children’s Education,

How many children are currently attending SCE schools -- including Germany, Cyprus and Gibraltar -- with moderate, or severe learning difficulties and have a Statement of Special Educational Needs?

Additionally, how many children have been sent back to the United Kingdom, who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs, in the last six years?

Yours faithfully,

David McDougall

Dear Army Sec-&Group (MULTIUSER),

Thank you for replying to my request.

For clarification, I am seeking information on the number of children returned to the UK, who possess a statement of special educational needs, because SCE were no longer able to facilitate their education because of those needs.

This is for a period covering 2004-present.

With regards to your reply, highlighting the number of children with 'moderate or severe needs' as at September 2013, could you provide the exact number of children with moderate needs and those with severe needs and, if possible, their age range?

Yours sincerely,

David McDougall
