Dear !Freedom of Information,

So far as I can tell question 2 is perfectly clear. I am not aware that I am obliged to tell you why I require this information but I am nonetheless happy to do so. I am trying to form an estimate of how many special constables with Surrey Police are employed in paid employment with Tesco PLC. Sadly given my experience in asking about this with the Metropolitan Police I have come to fear that no police force will disclose it willingly. Please refer to an answer to an FOI enquiry I made of them regarding special constables in the London Borough of Barnet wich you may find on this site at http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/sp....

I do not imagine you could reasonably say that it would take more than half an hour to ask a special constable what their employment is and to record it so therefore you should be able to ask 36 constables within the 18 hours which may be allotted to this request. Asking by alphabetical order of family name should give a reasonably random if small sample.

If question 2 remains unclear please let me know and I do apologise is I have in anyway prejudged you unfavourably because of my experience with the Metropolitan Police Service.

Yours sincerely,
