Dear Mr Hutchinson

Please see below Wirral Council’s response to the questions raised in your
Freedom of Information request dated 6 September 2021.

o why are noise levels for nearby residential properties excluded from
the plans?  The noise levels referred to and supporting plans are
contained in the Noise Assessment, which is a supporting document to
the Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA) for the West Kirby Flood
Alleviation scheme. The HRA considers the impact of noise and
disturbance on the natural environment.

o Please would it be possible to re-draw the plans to show the effects
on residential properties?  This is not be a valid request for
recorded information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
However to assist, the noise levels and associated timings, once any
appropriate mitigation is taken into account, will be such that there
is no adverse impact on the natural environment.

Yours sincerely
