Dear Symm, Kevin,

Good Morning Kevin

your response is in error. I have received a letter from the city solicitor (recently) on the instruction of an elected member and I am aware the same elected member also instructed the city solicitor to write to another member of the public.

At present I am not asking for an internal review I am giving you the opportunity to re-visit my FOIA.

Yours sincerely,

Audrey O'Keefe

Symm, Kevin, Liverpool City Council

Dear Ms O'Keefe

Unfortunately the only avenue available to me if you are unhappy with our response is to progress it to internal review. If you wish me to do so please confirm

Dear Jawahier Sharif Ali,

Thank you for your letter in response to my request for an internal review.

The below paragraph is from your letter.

*In relation to the information provided in our response I can confirm that although direct correspondence may be sent from the City Solicitor to members of the public it will not be sent simply to show a councillor’s displeasure*

I disagree with your findings the letter sent to me by the city solicitor was on the instruction of the elected cabinet member it was to show displeasure towards me, a member of the public.
Your findings are incorrect - I have the letter in my possession.

To my knowledge there has been one other letter sent to a member of the public on the instruction of the same elected cabinet member again this letter was to show displeasure.

I require a full break down of costs in relation to my letter - man hours spent by the city solicitor and her office - that includes reading my response and forwarding it to the elected member plus the man hours/costing taken up discussing it with the elected cabinet member.

I request you withdraw your comments that letters are not send to members of the public purely to show displeasure this statement is false. My letter was sent highlighting a number of points were the elected cabinet member showed displeasure towards me.

To help you my letter was sent Fri 10/05/2013 10:33 and signed by the City Solicitor.

Yours sincerely,

Audrey O'Keefe
