I would like to ask

Q1. Do you look after your own IT or is it outsourced?
Q2. How much did you pay in last financial year for software licenses?
Q3. How many computers users do you have?
Q4. When do you need to renew the contract with Microsoft for software licenses? What was the value of your last contract?
Q5. Do you currently measure software usage versus the number of licenses purchased? If so what is used for software usage metering?
Q6. Do you use a software asset management tool?
Q7. Please also provide details of IT Contracts Managers and any person(s) involved in IT Software procurement.

Thank you for your email of 7 May 2015

 

In March 2014 the Minister for Disabled People announced that the ILF will
be closing on 30 June 2015. From 1 July 2015, the funding and
responsibility of ILF care and support needs will transfer to local
authorities in England and the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales
and Northern Ireland.

 

Some of the information that you have requested is exempt from disclosure
under section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Section 21
exempts information that is reasonably accessible to the applicant by
other means. This includes information already available in the public
domain.

 

Details of the Independent Living Fund’s expenditure are published on a
monthly basis on our website. This includes IT Spending.

We look after our own.

As of 27/04/2015 we have 74 users.

 

Q4. When do you need to renew the contract with Microsoft for software
licenses? What was the value of your last contract?

 

The ILF is closing down on 30 June.  For information regarding software
licenses please see above.

 

Q5. Do you currently measure software usage versus the number of licenses
purchased? If so what is used for software usage metering?

 

Yes we do, we use Track –it.

 

Q6. Do you use a software asset management tool?

 

Yes we use Track-it.

 

Q7. Please also provide details of IT Contracts Managers and any person(s)
involved in IT Software procurement.

 

David Armstrong is head of IT however the ILF is closing on 30^th June2015
so there is no software procurement.
