Roy Davis made this Freedom of Information request to London Ambulance Service NHS Trust

The request was successful.

Dear London Ambulance Service NHS Trust,

Please could you provide me with an audited list of soft item consumables (not fluids and drugs) from Emergency Vehicles that have been removed from service because they have either been damaged and cant be used or have expired.

What is the policy about removing the items from frontline service ie is there a minimum time limit eg 6 months before expiry that they are continued to be utalised.

And what method is used for disposal of these expired items- ie are they supplied to charities, training, landfill etc

Yours faithfully,

Roy Davis

Dear FOI Admin,

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I am seeking the information regarding clinical consumables like bandages,OPA's, Maternity Packs etc. Items crew members will use on a day to day basis which whill most likely be a one use only and disposed of. The enquiry however is seeking the items placed on a vehicle which are subsequently disposed of as a time expiring or damaged and not allowed to be used for clinical care reasons.

Yours sincerely,

Roy Davis
