The definitions in this request relate to the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970, in particular when referring to the Director of Adult Social Services or their senior management board (the board)

• The number of Adult Social Care (Social Services) Board Members

• The number that has a social work qualification and are currently registered with the HCPC

• Whether the Director of Adult Social Services has a social work qualification and is currently registered with the HCPC

• Is The Principal Social Worker a board member

• The gender split of the Adult Social Care (Social Services) Board.

• The ethnicity split as defined by UK Census categories of the Adult Social Care (Social Services) Board.

information.  The City Council will consider whether any of these

public interest to release the information.  If we have to make a public

if the time scale has to be extended and if any information is withheld
and of your rights of appeal.

 

The City Council would like to make you aware that disclosure of
information obtained through FOIA is a disclosure into the public domain.

provide it if reasonably practicable to do so. If your request is a
question and we do not hold the answer in recorded form we will try and
provide an answer where we are able unless it requires the creation of new
information.

There may be a fee payable for this information request and we will send
you a Fees Notice if this is the case. Any fee must be paid before the
request is provided.  The time between the issue of the Fees Notice and
receipt of payment is excluded from the calculation of the 20 working day
time limit.

There are 7 members of our Senior Management Team.

Yes

• The gender split of the Adult Social Care (Social Services) Board.
This is 4 female and 3 male members

• The ethnicity split as defined by UK Census categories of the Adult
Social Care (Social Services) Board.
Due to the low number of people on the panel, we believe the information
could be linked to individuals and would therefore categorised as
Sensitive Personal Data.  We do not believe it would be these individuals'
reasonable expectation for their information to be disclosed in this way
and to do so would therefore cause us to breach the First Principle of the
Data Protection Act.  The information is therefore exempt from disclosure
in accordance with Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act.
 
Under the Re- Use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015 (SI
2015/1415) the supplied information may not be re-used without obtaining
the permission of Portsmouth City Council.
 
You have the right to appeal against this outcome or to complain about our
treatment of your request.  If you wish to do so, please set out in
