Dear Islington Borough Council,
This request relates to the letting and nomination of 2 bedroom housing through the social housing register. Please provide the following information for the following two periods of time for 2 bedroom properties.
Q1) 1st time period - 01/01/2024 to 01/04/2024
Q1a - how many general needs 2 bedroom properties were let or nominated through the housing register in this period?
Q1b - how many of the properties in answer to Q1a were let/nominated by direct offer?
Q1c - how many of the properties in answer to Q1a were let/nominated by choice based lettings?
Q1d - How the properties in answer to Q1c (ie. choice based lettings) were let to households with Statutory Homeless priority*?
Q1e - How the properties in answer to Q1c (ie. choice based lettings) were let to households with Prevention of Homelessness priority*?
Q2) 2nd time period - 01/05/2024 to 01/08/2024
Q2a - how many general needs 2 bedroom properties were let or nominated through the housing register in this period?
Q2b - how many of the properties in answer to Q2a were let/nominated by direct offer?

I am writing to request an internal review of Islington Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Social housing lets summary'.
The FOI reply stated that people had obtained social housing prior to May 2024 under Homeless Prevention priority. However, our understanding is that this group of priorities was introduced at the end of April 2024.
In answer to the internal review can the Council please explain how people obtained social housing with the homeless prevention priority before homeless prevention was introduced?
If there is an error with the data originally supplied, please can all the answers be checked before a further response is sent.
