Social housing lets
Dear Lewisham Borough Council,
1) Can I know please know for each social and council let you have made in the last 12 months :
A) The number of bedrooms of the property? (with studios/bedsits labelled as 0, and 1 bed flats as 1 etc.)
B) The priority band of the successful household (eg. Band 1, Band 2) on the housing register?
C) The number of years the household had been in their current priority band for?
D) Whether the property had any preferences for certain households (eg. LBL Homeless, Homeless Prevention, Overcrowded)
E) If it is a choice-based letting or a direct offer?
F) Who the landlord of the property is (eg. Lewisham, Housing Association)?
G) Is it sheltered (including over 55 only) or general needs housing?
H) The date, or month, that the let was made?
The information would ideally be provided in an excel table with a column for each of the questions above and a row for each letting made.
2) Please can I be told the exact dates that the data provided covers (eg. 01.07.2023 to 01.07.2024)?
Yours faithfully,
Jo Staines

Dear Lewisham Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Lewisham Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Social housing lets'.
The FOI request asked for information about *each* individual let, and asked that this would ideally be provided as an excel spreadsheet with each row corresponding to each property let/nominated. The reply provided generalised data in answer to each question. It also stated that the time in band could not be provided as it was not stored in an appropriate way.
We request that data is provided for *each* let as originally requested. The same FOI (ref:15751730) from 2022 confirms that this is possible, and that the information is held in this format:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...
Also, it confirms that the time in band is held in an accessible format.
Furthermore, if the council does not hold this information in an accessible format, then it cannot make any accurate estimate of the waiting times for different households, which it legally has to provide.
The reply also stated that all properties within the 12 months were choice based lettings. This is highly improbable considering there were 942 lettings in total, and we ask that this is checked as part of the internal review.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...
Yours faithfully,
Jo Staines
