Dylan F. Appleton-Owen, Isle of Anglesey County Council

Good Afternoon,

I refer to your request for the following information from Isle of Anglesey County Council under the Freedom of Information Act dated 26th November 2017, and respond as follows:-

1) How many people are currently on waiting lists for social/affordable houses in your area? Preferably broken down by type of property needed (accessible, number of bedrooms) and age bracket of applicant.

The current number of individuals on the waiting list is 384. It is not possible to breakdown to age as age bracket is not an option within our system, therefore we have split them by General Needs and OAP.

Entitled number of bedroomsAge -General NeedsAge - OAP
1 134 78
2 104 23
3 21 1
4 19 0
5 3 0
7 1 0

2) How many social/affordable houses are currently vacant in your area?
Currently vacant (not allocated) = 28

3) How many, if any, social/affordable houses still do not meet Welsh Housing Quality Standards (WHQS) in your area?
Fully compliant* stock at 31 March 2017 - 2,715
Compliant* stock subject to acceptable fails at 31 March 2017 - 1,077
Stock at 31st March 2017- 3,792

4) A breakdown of occupants currently placed in social/affordable housing in your area. Preferably broken down by type of property needed (accessible, number of bedrooms) and age bracket of applicant.
New system has been in place therefore unable to provide these figures – Household groups and date of births unknown on some tenancies carried over from legacy system. Profiling not complete.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of this response to your request for information, and / or the decision made to withhold information, you may ask for an internal review. Please address your correspondence to the Customer Care Officer, Legal Services, Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Môn LL77 7TW (E-mail: [cyfeiriad ebost]).
