I have received your Freedom of Information request and can confirm there
are 95 tenants registered for 1 bed properties on the Common Housing
Register.

Ceredigion County Council transferred it’s stock several years ago and we
operate in partnership with the Housing Associations operating within
Ceredigion. We have a Common Housing Register and a Common Housing Policy
so the Local Authority holds the Register, but the Housing Associations
allocate void properties to the applicants on the Common Register.

I am therefore unable to answer questions 1 and 2 as we do not have any
housing stock:

1. How many one bedroom general needs properties do you have available to
Let (voids) this week?

2. How many tenants are deemed to be under-occupying, and needing one bed
accommodation?

The Housing Associations who have general needs property in the County are
Tai Ceredigion (the stock transfer vehicle), based in Lampeter,
 Cymdeithas Tai Cantref based in Newcastle Emlyn and Mid-Wales Housing
Association based in Newtown.

I responded to your request on 5th August. I did explain that I was only able to answer one part of the enquiry as we do not hold any housing stock, but I supplied the names of our partner Housing Associations for your information. They can answer the questions regarding voids.

Please let me know if you need any further information on the basis that we hold the Waiting list, but do not have any properties.

Good afternoon,

Your Freedom of Information request of 6^th September 2013 has been
forwarded for my attention and having discussed the matter with the
appropriate service manager, we regret that since this Authority only
holds the housing register this information is not available. The Housing
associations allocate directly off the register and hold the information
regarding allocations.

I hope this explains the situation however, if you have any complaints in
relation to this FOI response the Council does operate an internal appeals
procedure. If you wish to utilise this procedure then please write to,
