North Ayrshire Council

Dear Ms Williams,

Thank you for your email dated 9th March 2020 received by North Ayrshire
Council 9th March 2020.

Announcement

With  the ongoing impact of the Covid -19 virus and the pressure on us all
to provide vital public services, North Ayrshire Council is continuing to
adhere to the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA)
legislation. As the days pass this is proving challenging due to staff
shortages, access to our buildings to obtain information, such as paper
files and redeploying our staff to essential and critical Services.

North Ayrshire Council continue to follow the advice from the Scottish
Information Commissioner with regards to FOISA during this time and how to
manage the requests.

We  ask you to consider if you have searched our website for your
information or if you could possibly postpone your request until such
times as the Covid â?? 19 virus has subsided and our staff are back to
business as usual.

If you would like to continue with your request, we will do all that we
can to obtain the information for you and within the timescale of 20
working days.  However, many of our staff are working from home or are not
in their usual places of work and this may impact the collating of your
information difficult or impossible.

The maximum timescale in which we must respond to requests for information
under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, has now been
temporarily extended from 20 to 60 working days.

Please find below the link to the Scottish Information Commissioners
website and the advice to requestors:

We will continue to take the advice of the Scottish Information
