Under freedom of information, I would like to request the following:
1. How many domestic properties do the Council control. Please distinguish between council owned and those owned by registered providers. Please provide names of registered providers and number of properties, if valid.
2. Please provide a breakdown of all above properties i.e,
Number of 1, 2, 3, 4, etc bedroom flats
Number of 1, 2, 3, 4, etc bedroom houses.
3. How many of the properties in each of the above categories are currently void/empty
4. What contractors do you use to maintain properties?
5. How many fire, electrical, asbestos, and water checks currently need attention?

Further to the acknowledgement below, I can respond to your Freedom of
Information Act 2000 request received on 2^nd April 2022 as follows:
1. How many domestic properties do the Council control. Please
distinguish between council owned and those owned by registered providers.
Please provide names of registered providers and number of properties, if

The Council has 7763 rental properties in its Housing Revenue Account. In
addition to that there are 26 shared ownership properties. The Council
also has 46 General Fund properties used as homeless temporary
accommodation. The Council’s housing company Oxford City Housing Ltd owns
128 properties.
2. Please provide a breakdown of all above properties i.e, Number of
1, 2, 3, 4, etc bedroom flats Number of 1, 2, 3, 4, etc bedroom houses.

4. What contractors do you use to maintain properties?
Our main contractor for housing maintenance is Oxford Direct Services
Limited, however we do contract out some specialist services e.g. fire
alarm maintenance, legionella control etc. for these we use Pyrotec (Fire
safety), Cotswold Lifts (lifts) and SMS Environmental (Legionella
control), Asbestos Consultants Europe (ACE) currently carry out our
asbestos surveys.
5. How many fire, electrical, asbestos, and water checks currently
need attention?
All properties are checked and regularly maintained by the mentioned
contractors.
If you disagree with any part of the response to your request, you are
entitled to ask the Council for an internal review of the decision(s)
made. You may do this by writing to the Monitoring Officer, by either
email – [1][email address] – or by post to Monitoring Officer, Oxford
City Council, St Aldate’s Chambers, St Aldate’s, Oxford, OX1 1DS. After
the result of the internal review, if you remain dissatisfied, you may ask
the Information Commissioner to intervene on your behalf. You may do this
by writing to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe Lane,
Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
