1) Can you please confirm the procurement framework / managed service provider the Council uses for its recruitment of agency “unqualified social care” staff such as: support workers, Health Care Assistants and Residential Childcare Workers etc..

2) In the financial year 2021 - 2022, what was the total agency spend for “unqualified social care” staff in A) Adult Services B) Children Services

3) The number of agency workers engaged per category A and B listed above in question 2 during the same period

4) Structure charts that include names and professional contact details for Deputy Team Managers / Team Manager / Service Manager per category A and B listed above in question 2 during the same period.

with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and/or the Environmental
Information Regulations 2004.

I can confirm that we hold information that falls within the scope of your
request. The answers to your questions have been provided in Red Text

Can I please request the following information, all relating to the
Council's recruitment of agency “unqualified social care” staff such as:
support workers, Health Care Assistants and Residential Childcare Workers
etc..

 

1) Can you please confirm the procurement framework /managed service
provider the Council uses for its recruitment of agency“ unqualified
social care” staff such as: support workers, Health Care Assistants and
Residential Childcare Workers etc..

The Council has a contract with Randstad as part of the Welsh Government’s
Commercial Procurement Directorate framework for the provision of
temporary workers.

 

2) In the financial year 2021 - 2022, what was the total agency spend for
“unqualified social care” staff in A) Adult Services B)Children Services

Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act states that a public
authority is not obliged to comply with a request for information if the
authority estimates that the cost of complying with the request would
exceed the appropriate limit of either 18 hours and/or £450. To enable us
to identify the information you requested we would need to manually search
nearly 2000 invoices taking around 2 mins per record.  This would take the
time over 18 hours.

 

3) The number of agency workers engaged per category A and B listed above
in question 2 during the same period

Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act states that a public
authority is not obliged to comply with a request for information if the
authority estimates that the cost of complying with the request would

to identify the information you requested we would need to manually search

4) Structure charts that include names and professional contact details

The Council does not publish direct contact details for staff below the
level of Head of Service, including email addresses and phone numbers.

directed to the appropriate person and that e-mail correspondence is
routed correctly.  It also ensures that any staff moves do not affect the
public's ability to contact the Council and gain appropriate information.
