Dear Ms Pullar
FOI Request ref: 4005/Social Care for Disabled Children
Thank you for your request for information about the above. Your request
was received on 20/05/2014 and I am dealing with it under the terms of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.
We always aim to respond as quickly as possible, but we do need some
clarification before we will be able to process your request. You have
asked:
Please provide information on the total budget for services provided to
disabled children under the Chronically Sick and Disabled Act 1970, the
Children’s Act 1989 and the ‘duty to provide breaks from caring for
disabled children’ under the Children and Young Person’s Act 2008 in each
of the following years:
a) 2012/13 b) 2013/14 c) 2014/15
Are you requesting the total amount we spend in support of disabled
children? Or just short breaks/family support? And are you excluding
Looked After Children (for whom there would be significant other costs
which may not be able to be disaggregated). Or do you simply want the
entire budget for Children’s Disability ?
Your request is on hold pending receipt of your clarification. Please
quote the above reference number in any communication regarding this
request.
Yours sincerely
