Smart success rates including Greater Manchester

Richard Harrison made this Freedom of Information request to Innovate UK This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Technology Strategy Board,

Would you be kind enough to provide the figures for SMART applications and success rates, broken down as follows for 2013 applications?

For each type of award (market, concept, prototype)
- Number of applications (if possible, figures for UK as a whole and Greater Manchester separately)
- Number of successful applications (as above - UK and Gtr Mcr)
- Minimum pass rate (Uk / Mcr separation not required)
- Average pass mark (Uk / Mcr separation not required)

In addition, can you please tell us (as a whole) what the success rate is for companies who fail the first time and choose to resubmit a revised application?

If possible we would like:
- Number of resubmitted applications
- Number of successful resubmitted applications
- For those that are successful, average score for 1st and 2nd application
- For those that are unsuccessful, average score for 1st and 2nd application

Many thanks for your kind assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Richard Harrison
