Dear Emma,
Thank you for your email requesting information.
Please see the responses below to your request.
Please note another department will also be looking at this and they
may/may not have further information. However my colleague is away until
later next week. Once I have their response I will also send that to you.
The Council is already working with its energy suppliers to change meters
to enable automated reading, and the majority of the Council's electricity
supplies already have either smart meters or AMR meters fitted, depending
on the supply type.
Exceptions are empty properties and those pending demolition where there
is no usage.
The date/year of installation of the smart meters is not held
electronically and hence would not be able to be provided. Most have been
fitted within the last two years.
The proposed date of installation of future smart meters cannot be
provided because, aside of a request for a smart meter, this is determined
by the energy supplier and hence is outside the control of the Council.

Dear Emma,
RESPONSE 2.
Please see below additional information from the department that dealt
with it. The first response was sent on the 10th January.
“We do not hold a central record of what type of meters we have in our
buildings. In the buildings that are not under CCDC ownership-i.e. we rent
off a third party they do not have smart meters so it’s a 0 from my side
“.
