A copy of the information we hold is attached. The information supplied to you is protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You are free to use it for your own purposes, including any noncommercial research you are doing and for the purposes of news reporting. Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act states that we do not have to provide information if it is readily accessible by other means. Therefore, we have not included the Billing Authority Reference Numbers, as they are available via the Valuation Office Agency website (www.voa.gov.uk)

Section 40 of the Act states that personal data protected by the Data Protection Act is exempt from disclosure. Therefore we have not provided you with information about sole traders, as information about their business rates accounts is personal data.
