Dear Stoke on Trent City Council,

Please can you provide me with the following information under the Freedom Of Information Act 2000:-

(a) company name, addresses and rateable values of Commercial properties that are within your Council with rateable values between £5,000 to £8,000 who are eligible for, but not currently receiving small business rate relief; and

(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in (a);and

(c) the relevant billing authority reference number as referred to in (a)

Thank you for your request for information about business rate relief. Your request was received on 12th April 2010 and I am dealing with it under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

We have now considered your request for information and a copy of the
information is attached.

Unfortunately we have been unable to disclose the names of the owners of
those premises listed as this information is exempt under section 40 of
the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Section 40(2) of the Act allows us to withhold information if that
information relates to someone other than the data subject and where
disclosing that information would contravene the principles of the Data
Protection Act 1998.

If you have any queries about this email, please do not hesitate to
