SLP - request for the two independent reviews.

The request was successful.

Dear University of Glasgow,

Background information:

In Appendix G of an FOI request, Suitability of of Campus Solutions - Student Lifecycle Project by John Ferguson (http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/su...), there is the reference to two independent reports about university services.

In Appendix 1 of another FOI request Business Case for Review of Student Administrative Processes by James Watson (http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/bu...), these two reports are used by Mr D. Newall as the foundation to instigate the Student Lifecycle Project.

In the Response of another FOI request, Background information about the Student Lifecycle Project again by James Watson (http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ba...), it is stated that the Information Policy and Strategy Committee approved the £30,630.69 cost of the two reports.

I would like to know who the members of the IPSC were at the time of the approval of the aforesaid expense.

I would like to see a copy of each of the reports.

I would like to see the remit given to each consultant prior to them commencing their review.

In addition, for each report (i.e. separately), please supply:
a) the submission date of the report.
b) the date that the report was submitted to the SMG for review.
c) the date that the report was submitted to the University Court for review.

Yours faithfully,

Finn Kelvin

Dear FOI Office,

Thank you for the reports.

We know now that neither the Secretary of Court nor the IPSC provided the University Court with either of the two reports used by David Newall as evidence to justify the existence of the SLP which had an estimated budget of £13,200,000.

But why have you not answered the original question with respect to the Senior Management Group? Please supply a Yes/No answer to the original question?

Did the SMG receive a copy of either of the reports? Yes or No? If Yes, then what was the date that they received it.

Yours sincerely,

Finn Kelvin

The authenticity of one of these reports was questionable - there was some evidence of plagiarism.

Dear FOI Office,

Thank you for your prompt response.

So the SMG did not receive a copy of either of the reports. But was instead given an edited version on the day the SMG met to approve the Student Lifecycle Project.

Yours sincerely,

Finn Kelvin
