for information about sleepers.

Unfortunately, from the description provided, we are unable to identify
the information you require.  Please can you confirm if you are asking
about the sleepers installed on the DLR or another mode of transport.
Please also can you specify a time period that you want the information
for.

To enable us to assist with your request, please provide a more detailed
description of the information you’re seeking together with any other
details you think might help us locate the information you require.

The Freedom of Information Act allows you to request recorded information
held by Transport for London. There are limits on the time that we are
required to spend determining whether we hold the information you are
requesting and the time spent locating, retrieving and extracting it.
Therefore you should identify the information that you want as clearly and
concisely as you can, specifying the types of document that you are
looking for. You might also consider limiting your request to a particular
period of time, geographical area or specific departments of the
organisation.

Although your request can take the form of a question, rather than a
request for specific documents, we do not have to answer your question if
it would require the creation of new information or the provision of a
judgement, explanation, advice or opinion that was not already recorded at
the time of your request.

Sleeper renewal. Please would you give details of the numbers of each
sleeper type e.g. concrete, concrete bock, steel, softwoood, and bearer
type you install annually.

information about our sleeper and bearer renewal numbers for the period
2012-2017 for Docklands Light Railway (DLR), Croydon Tramlink and London
Underground.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can
confirm that we hold some of the information you require.

Please note that we have provided data for as far back as we hold it.

DLR:

The following numbers and types of sleepers were installed on the DLR
network in the last year by our Franchisee and Concessionaire Track
maintainers. Please note that no sleepers were installed by DLRL.

Concrete sleepers 60
Wooden sleepers 42
Joint timbers 24
S&C timbers 15
Steel sleepers 0

We only hold the data for the last year as there is no contractual
obligation for our Franchisee or Concessionaire to keep these records.
