FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 07-2021 (Skip Placement)

 

I write in connection with your request for information which was received
on 4^th January 2021.  Your request will now be considered in accordance
with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the Act”).

 

We will make every effort to provide a response to your request within 20
working days as stipulated by the Act.

Please provide information regarding the number of occasions you have
received complaints regarding skip placement on highways and the actions
taken in the last four years.           

Response:

In total we recorded 28 incidents involving a skip on the highway during
the time period stated.

Action taken can be broken down as below:

18 – Police attended (3 referred to skip company/skip moved)

4 – Referred to local council

3 – No action

3 – Contact made with skip company

 

Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as
accurate as possible.
