Shortlisting & Interview criteria: Chemistry and Biochemistry

The request was successful.

Dear University of Oxford,
Please could you send me copy of spreadsheets, forms, assessment tools and/or
criteria that are used to select which applicants are chosen for interview for Chemistry and Biochemistry (undergraduate) . Also the same documents/criteria used when assessing interviewees for an offer. I ask in reference to a previous similar request on 14/07/2017 by a Mr Pattison where you gave the relevant information: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/4...

I am requesting a more up to date response with the same material regarding: Undergraduate Chemistry and Biochemistry. Previously, Oxford weighted GCSEs alongside other aspects to give applicants a score out of 5 for Chemistry shortlisting (see the link) and outlines "important subjects" and "non-scientific subjects" with different prescribed weightings for each - if a similar method is still used please outline if Further Maths (level 2) GCSE is included as an "important subject". Such subjects previously required all A*s in to score 5 or 4.5 for Chemistry shortlisting.

Please also include how/if achieved A-levels are distinguished and treated compared to predicted A-levels alongside shortlisting criteria for applicants studying the same or a similar subject at university already.

Yours faithfully,

T Nav
