Dear King's College London,

My query relates to shortlisting of candidates for A100 Medicine.

Your website states -
"Shortlisting
When considering those students which will be shortlisted for interview the selectors consider the following; GCSE (or equivalent performance), predicted or achieved A-level grades (or equivalent), the personal statement, the reference and the score in the UCAT. These contribute to the shortlisting of candidates, and we do assess for this programme holistically, taking in to account all these factors and your performance in the context of your educational background. Examination results and the UCAT score are perhaps the most important factors when considering applications. These are highlighted as they provide us with the fairest and most consistent method of assessing applicants.

(1) Above does not give details as to how you score each element (ranking method) hence please provide information as to ranking method/point system you will use for A100 2022 entry candidates.
Please provide details of how you will score –
1. GCSE performance
2. UCAT score
3. personal statement and
4. reference
to arrive at the score to put all applicant in the rank order.

(2) Please provide data in rank order of all the candidates who were made an offer for an interview in last three years giving (a) total score as well as (b) individual score separately for each of -
1. GCSE performance

3. personal statement and
4. reference

(3) Please provide ranking method/point system for last three year it was different to what you will reply to question no. 1 above.

(4) I am not requesting information as to the lowest score invited to interview for last three years because my understanding is that your reply to query 2 above will revel the lowest score and if it would not please provide information as to lowest score invited to interview for last three years.

Yours faithfully,

Hiren Patel
