Dear Mr Wright,

I write further to your Freedom of Information request and I apologise for
the delay in responding, however I am now able to confirm the following:

Ceredigion works collaboratively with a number of Councils’ it
participates in  Regional Social Care Partnership across Ceredigion,
Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Powys, whilst currently there are no
formal shared services under this arrangement, we do come together to
jointly commission some services and share expertise around defined areas
e,g, Learning Disabilities Procurement and Strategy, transition, adult
placement, direct payments. 

There is also a collaborative working across Wales for the procurement and
commissioning of some specialised children services under the 4 C’s
arrangement.(Children’s Commissioning Consortium Cymru)

Collaboration also works well with Health colleagues,  the Senior County
Management Team is co-located with Social Services, a number of services
are delivered jointly: Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Tim Plant
Ynabl and Reablement.  There is a programme of modernisation and
integration being taken forward for Older People Services and Social
Services currently lead commissions on care contracts which are jointly
funded.
