Sexual offences in Glos Hospitals
Dear Gloucestershire Constabulary,
Please provide answers up to the allowed funding limit (believed to be £450 at standard rate) (ie please do not refuse on the basis that it may exceed the value) working from item 1 down and in line with the response to FOI 2022.0814 by N Cramb of Glos Constabulary.
(As the latter points were previously identified as existing but inappropriately refused disclosure, the information should be readily available and not count towards the £450 limit)
Since 01/01/2022, please provide details of :
1. How many reports have been made to Gloucestershire Constabulary of sexual assaults
which are alleged to have taken place at Gloucestershire NHS hospitals since January 1st 2022?
2. How many reports have been made to Gloucestershire Constabulary of rape which are
alleged to have taken place at Gloucestershire NHS Trust hospitals since January 1st 2022?
3. How many reports of other sexual offences have been made to Gloucestershire Constabulary which are alleged to have taken place at Gloucestershire NHS Trust hospitals since January 1st 2022?
4. How many of the above points 1 to 3 were reported as taking place within an identifiable hospital and/or ward and if so, please provide data for how many occurred in each?
5. How many people have been charged with the offences alleged above?
6. What is Glos Constabulary policy (or other directions) for officers attending incidents of
alleged sexual crimes and is there additional regulation or guidance for when such incidents take place in Mental Health Hospitals?
7. Who/what organisation(s) are empowered to decide whether an alleged sexual crime is
a) investigated and b) prosecuted?
Please use professional judgement to maximise efficient, relevant results through search terms and search criteria of either specific fields or free text but include consideration of results from such search terms as "NHS", "Trust", "Wotton", "GHC"
Yours faithfully,
Darren Watts
