Dear Ms Young,

Thank you for your information request dated 8 February 2016. Please find the response to your request below, embedded within your original request.

Where the numbers are so low that providing you with the exact number may put those involved at risk of being identified, these have been marked as <5 in order to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. Providing an indicative figure enables us to ensure that we do not release information that constitutes personal data as defined by section 1(1) of the Data Protection Act 1998 ("data which relate to a living individual who can be identified from those data"), the disclosure of which would breach the first data protection principle ("personal data shall be processed fairly and lawfully") and is therefore exempt from disclosure under s.38(1)(b) and s.38(2)(a) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOI(S)A).

Unless otherwise stated, Edinburgh Napier University reserves copyright in all information provided under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA). Although the information is available under the legislation this does not mean that the University has waived its copyright and therefore the information must not be reproduced in any way or made available in whole or in part without the written permission of the copyright holder.

If you are not satisfied with the way the University has dealt with your request for information, you have a right under FOISA to request a review of this decision. If you wish to exercise this right, you must write to the University to request a review within forty working days of receipt of this decision. Your request for a review must be in writing and you must specify your name and address for correspondence. You must also identify the decision that you wish to have reviewed.
