Sex education curriculum

Warwickshire County Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Warwickshire County Council,

Please provide the following information:-

I would like to know what is being taught to children in infant, middle school and senior schools in Warwickshire with regard to RSE lessons.

This is what I would like to know.

1.) Details of the curriculum being taught for all age groups regarding sex education.

2.) Are parents allowed to opt their children out of these lessons?

3.) If not, why not?

4.) Do schools use outside agencies to deliver the lessons?

5.) If so, please name these agencies.

6.) Do individuals visit schools to discuss gender ideology?

7.) If so, to what extent are students expected to participate in these discussions?

8.) Are parents provided with in depth information beforehand as to what topics will be covered?

9.) Are written handouts, pamphlets or questionnaires provided/handed out to students?

Yours faithfully,

Dawn Cross

I find it incredible that WCC do not hold this information. To suggest contacting each school accordingly seems odd.
I would have thought that this information should be available and open and transparent for parents to view whenever they wish to.
Schools change their policies and criteria so I am dissatisfied with the information given.
