Please can you answer the following EIR Request:

BACKGROUND INFO:

According to media reports water companies are required to provide 'improvement plans' covering storm overflows.

This article from the Independent claims:

Water companies will be required to explain why sewage spillages into rivers and seas are happening and what is being done to fix them under new Government plans.

Environment Secretary Therese Coffey is demanding that water and sewerage firms in England provide an improvement plan for every storm outflow, prioritising those dumping waste into swimming, shellfish and nature sites.

1 - Please can you confirm if you have complied with the request and produced an 'improvement plan'?

2 - If the answer to question 1 is yes, please provide a copy of the latest improvement plan.

Dear Mr Scott

I have been passed your email dated 18 April 2023, requesting information
under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 Act. You
have requested information relating to Water and Sewerage firms in England
providing improvement plans for every storm outflow.

You specifically requested:

•           If we have complied with the request and produced an
'improvement plan' and;

•           For a copy of the latest improvement plan.

Business Stream operates as a water retailer and as such has no
responsibility for storm overflows or the main water sources and
infrastructure. This responsibility lies with the water company for the
region concerned. The following link to the Ofwat website will help you
identify the responsible water company in your area of England and Wales:

substantive response as we do not hold the information you have requested.
