Dear Southern Water Services Limited,

Under the freedom of information act, I would like some information on the following items please.

How long have Southern Water been testing waste water/sewage for Sars cov 2?

What is the protocol for this testing in terms of types of test used? Is each test and result a lab proven PCR test? Or are other means of test used such as LAMP tests?

If so, what is the CT rate of these PCR tests and have they ever changed? ie. have the CT rates stayed the same or have they been raised? Decreased?

How many tests are carried out per day? And how many have been carried out sibce March 2020?

Do you test for any other virus's in the waste water? Namely coronavirus's such as influenza or the common cold?

Yours faithfully,

steve clarke
