Setting Noise Limits at Premises/Events

The request was successful.

Dear Tower Hamlets Borough Council,

In 2019, and in previous years, the Oktoberfest in Millwall Park the Environmental Protection team applied a noise limit of 65 dBA as part of the noise conditions for the Premises Licence.

Please can you provide copies of all correspondence that led to the 65 dBA limit being identified in the Premises Licence.

Please can you provide details of how a figure of 65 dBA was determined to be appropriate.

Does Tower Hamlets use the 65 dBA figure to protect residents in noise management plans for other establishments with a premises licence?

Have any other venues in Tower Hamlets with a premises licence and noise management plan, an exterior noise limit greater that 65 dBA?

Yours faithfully,

Ralph Hardwick
